You know what's frustrating? I'm not sure how much warning I'm going to get -- will I get lots of pre-labour contractions? For how long? Or will it all just happen suddenly? It could go either way, and I won't know until it happens. It's like waiting for the other shoe to drop.
We are scheduled for an ultrasound on Friday morning, and another one Monday afternoon; they do ultrasounds when you're 10 and 14 days overdue to check the baby's muscle tone, amniotic fluid volume, and the state of the placenta. It's kind of like a consolation prize; no baby, but you get an ultrasound. It will be interesting to see an ultrasound of a full-term baby, if we get to that point.
Tonight is a new Buffy and Angel, and we're having a friend over, so that should be fun and keep my mind off things. (Oh, and apparently there's precedent for Buffy bringing on labour; it worked for Beth!)
